Everything I Didn’t Do marks a clear departure from the emotional directness of Rozzie’s earlier work like Honestly and Find the Words, and instead moves into a more introspective and ambiguous space. Where her previous work often sought clarity, this project leans into uncertainty. The writing feels more internal, often circling around contradictions such as care that feels like harm, honesty that feels performative, and connection that never fully lands. Rather than offering conclusions, this album lingers in these gray-areas and presents an unfiltered awareness that accepts the possibility that some emotions, no matter how deeply felt, may never fully make sense or feel entirely real. In terms of musical style, the shift is pretty striking. Her previous projects sit in a more clean, pop-adjacent space that are melodically driven and structured. In contrast, Everything I Didn’t Do leans into alternative, rock, and even progressive elements that you can feel in how the songs are built. The structures are less predictable, often resisting traditional verse-chorus clarity in favor of something more fluid.

“Singing with absolute elegance, Rozzie strikes a perfect balance between emotion and melody” - Last Day Leaf

Full Bio
Rozzie is a Chicago-area indie artist writing songs that usually start from something personal that she doesn't fully know how to say directly. Influences like Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell, and Fiona Apple shape how she thinks about performance and emotion, not as references to copy, but as examples of what it looks like to fully commit to a feeling and let it carry the music.
Before focusing fully on her original work, Rozzie spent years performing in an 80s cover band, Kovacs & Company, where she developed her stage presence and versatility across genres. She can still be seen in a duo format with Brian Kovacs, performing classics from the last few decades. When performing her original music, however, Rozzie leans into a full-band sound, expanding her songs into something even more dynamic and immersive for live settings.
Her growing catalogue consists of her debut full-length album Honestly (2022), the EP Find the Words (2024), and the single Say It Once, Say It Never (2025). In April of 2026, she released Everything I Didn't Do, an eight-song project that leans further into an indie rock and alternative space, expanding beyond her earlier indie-pop foundation. The record pairs more textured arrangements with writing that embraces ambiguity over resolution. Where previous releases often searched for clarity, this album sits more comfortably in uncertainty, allowing tension and contradiction to shape both the sound and the storytelling.
With each release, Rozzie continues to build a body of work that explores what it means to articulate the things that are hardest to say.
